Product Overview
The WXJK-Z Overhead Line Fault Tester is a newly developed line-to-ground fault detection device meticulously engineered by our company. It is suitable for locating single-phase-to-ground faults on overhead high-voltage lines with a length not exceeding 25 kilometers, providing precise fault point identification (note: the line must be de-energized during inspection). The instrument is applicable to both bare conductors and insulated cables, capable of accurately pinpointing concealed ground faults such as single-phase metallic grounding, arcing faults, faults through transitional resistance, insulator puncture, and surge arrester breakdown.
The WXJK-Z Overhead Line Fault Tester consists of a main unit, a current detection clamp, a high-voltage transmitter terminal, a receiver unit, test leads, ground stakes, insulated poles, and accessories. Communication between the main unit and the receiver utilizes a dual-mode 4G/LoRa system. The main unit controls the high-voltage signal output and transmits test results to the receiver. Communication between the current clamp and the receiver is via LoRa, sending signals detected by the clamp to the receiver.
The main unit features a 7-inch color screen for clear and intuitive fault indication, making test results immediately comprehensible. The receiver unit is equipped with a voice broadcast function, announcing test results and fault direction, significantly simplifying field operation. The current detection clamp and high-voltage transmitter terminal are compact, lightweight, and easy to install. Once mounted, they enable rapid completion of the line fault search process, greatly reducing operator workload and improving efficiency.
The WXJK-Z Overhead Line Fault Tester can locate ground faults on multiple lines. After the overhead line is de-energized, the high-voltage transmitter terminal applies a low-frequency high-voltage signal to the line. The current detection clamp picks up the signal on the cable. The main unit analyzes the pulse current and impedance to determine the presence of a ground fault, with the results displayed on the receiver's LCD screen and announced via voice broadcast.

- Accurately determines the direction of a ground fault and measures the ground fault resistance value. Testing is convenient and rapid, eliminating the need to disconnect the Potential Transformer (PT).
- Applicable to insulated cables (the high-voltage transmitter terminal is attached to the corona ring/test point).
