Product Overview
With simple digital settings—just input the transformer's rated parameters—the WXCTP-P Variable Frequency CT/PT Tester automatically records data throughout the entire process.It calculates and displays results such as ratio,polarity,and excitation(V-I)characteristic curves.This eliminates tedious tasks like changing connections,manual voltage adjustment,manual recording,data organization,and curve plotting.
On-site calibration of current transformers(CTs)no longer requires standard CTs,current boosters,load boxes,voltage regulation control boxes,or heavy-current cables.Using extremely simple test connections and operations enables CT calibration,significantly reducing labor intensity and improving work efficiency.It facilitates convenient on-site transformer verification—offering speed,simplicity,accuracy,and ease of use.
Features&Characteristics
- Capable of testing various types of CTs(e.g.,protection,metering,TP class)for parameters including excitation(V-I)characteristics,ratio,polarity,secondary winding resistance,secondary burden,ratio error,and phase error.It can also be used to test the excitation characteristics,ratio,polarity,and secondary winding resistance of voltage transformer(PT)electromagnetic units.
- Automatically provides key CT parameters such as knee-point voltage/current,the 10%(or 5%)error curve,accuracy limit factor(ALF),instrument security factor(FS),secondary time constant(Ts),remanence factor(Kr),and saturated/unsaturated inductance.
- Testing complies with various transformer standards including GB1208(IEC60044-1),GB16847(IEC60044-6),and GB1207.The instrument automatically selects the appropriate testing standard based on the transformer type and class.
- Based on an advanced low-frequency testing principle,capable of handling CT tests with knee-point voltages exceeding 40kV.
- Simple and convenient operation.Tests for CT winding resistance,excitation,ratio,and polarity can be completed with a single button.Except for burden testing,all other CT tests share the same connection method.

- Features a 10-inch color large-screen,fully Chinese graphical interface.The interface is user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.A built-in printer allows for on-demand printing of curves and test data.
- Equipped with high-capacity storage,capable of saving 2000 sets of test data.Data is non-volatile and will not be lost during power-off.
- After testing,data can be saved to a USB drive.Specialized software on a PC can then be used for data analysis and generating WORD format reports.
- Includes automatic knee-point calculation,test data filtering/printing functions,and a built-in date/time clock.
- Single-unit integrated design,lightweight at only 8.2 kg,making it highly portable and convenient for mobile field testing.
