Product Introduction
The WXMD-II Petroleum Densimeter complies with the GB/T 1884-92 standard.This instrument specifies the laboratory method for determining the density of crude oil,liquid petroleum products,and mixtures of petroleum and non-petroleum products using a glass hydrometer(densimeter).It is suitable for testing materials with a Reid vapor pressure not exceeding 180 kPa.
The densimeter method is most suitable for determining the density of transparent,low-viscosity liquids.It can also be used for viscous liquids,provided the densimeter is allowed sufficient time to reach equilibrium.The sample is brought to a suitable temperature and transferred to a clean,dry densimeter cylinder at approximately the same temperature.An appropriate densimeter is then lowered vertically into the sample and allowed to settle.Once temperature equilibrium is achieved,the densimeter scale reading is taken,and the sample temperature is recorded.
